Climate Wise joins the spottydog pack!

Our climate has been making headlines of late – with reported year-on-year increases in global temperatures and the Coronavirus pandemic causing our emissions to fall, albeit temporarily, while travel around the globe is put on hold. All of which makes it a very suitable time to introduce and welcome our newest client, Climate Wise, into the spottydog pack.

The business, which launched in April, is aiming to crowdfund monthly donations from Climate Heroes to support carbon reduction programmes taking place around the globe.

Inevitably we all leave a carbon footprint on the planet – whether by flying away on holiday, taking a trip to the supermarket in the car or simply warming our homes with a gas-powered boiler.

But the projects that Climate Wise supports can help us as individuals to offset that and become part of meaningful, positive change.

Initial projects include the construction of wind turbines and installation of environmentally-friendly methods of cooking in impoverished communities – and there is the promise of more to come soon.

Blue-sky thinking

Saving the planet is a big job – and so Climate Wise needs the delivery of first-rate communications in order to attract donations and secure vital new projects to add to its roster.

As Climate Wise is a fast-moving start-up, we worked quickly with the team to create an integrated communications strategy from scratch. This includes a wide scope of activities incorporating PR, social media, graphic design and digital marketing to be targeted at engaged donors and the wider general public.

Already, our fabulous graphic designer Alice has got under the skin of this fledgling brand’s design ethos – creating a new logo, banners and assets to support its social media accounts, including a charming illustration to celebrate this year’s Earth Day.

 

She’ll also be developing an explainer video which will sit on the brand’s homepage and convey how the company’s carbon offsetting model works in practice.

Not that the wider team have been resting on their laurels. They’ve been developing Climate Wise’s tone of voice and key messaging and ensuring it’s incorporated across all channels – from blogs and press materials to the company’s quarterly e-newsletter.

And to take things onto the next level we’ll be working with environmental influencers and developing a paid media strategy which will help us to take Climate Wise’s messaging to a much wider audience.

All of which should help this exciting new brand to make a difference in our ever-changing world.
