When it comes to a ‘A Hard Day’s Night’, the Beatles were ahead of their time by 50 years, because honestly we really have been working like a (spotty)dog….day and night.
The fab four, together with our work-hard / play-hard culture has inspired us to celebrate achieving our own awesome foursome of CIPR Midlands PRide Gold Awards for our work on behalf of All Bar One, PitPat, Baddeley Brothers and for the spottydog team.
The CIPR Midlands PRide Awards is one of the biggest PR industry events outside of London and is the opportunity for professionals within our region to showcase their work across 25 award entry categories. A range of consultancies and inhouse PR practitioners were finalists at the Awards which thanks to an increased number of entries, meant competition and quality of the work in contention was extremely high.
We were therefore blown away to achieve Gold Awards for….
- Outstanding Small Consultancy
- Best Use of Digital for our work with Baddeley Brothers
- Best Use of Photography or Design for our Cocktail Couture campaign at All Bar One
- STEM (Science, Technology, Education & Manufacturing) for the launch of PitPat
We also won a Silver Award in the Outstanding Consultancy category and were a finalist for Best Event for our work to launch VerveLife by Motorola. Congratulations to Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Fresh PR who were the worthy Gold Award winners in these categories, together with Western Power Distribution, Melton Foods, WPR, NC Creative, the NHS, Whistle PR, Syndicate Communications, University of Derby, NASUWT, BakerBaird, The Camping & Caravan Club and Stafford College who also took Gold on the night.
The awards didn’t just give the spottydog pack the chance to receive recognition for our hard-working ethos, as our play-hard spirit was in much evidence as we celebrated our success. Although our ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ moves means we’re not expecting to add the Strictly Come Dancing glitterball to our trophy shelf any time soon!
