Hanging out with Boris Johnson, John Lewis and James Nesbitt

spottydog was in great company at last week’s Public Relations Consultants Association Awards where I scooped the award as national PR freelancer of the year.

Ok I admit a little bit of artistic PR licence…. (Could this be why I won an award for PR??) – Boris wasn’t actually there to collect his PR personality of the year award and Wikipedia tells me John Lewis died in 1928.  However in addition to his legacy of creating retail heaven, John Lewis will be rightly pleased that his PR team were awarded in-house team of the year.

It’s not all smoke and mirrors though – James Nesbitt, star of Monroe, Cold Feet and the Yellow Pages ads really was there to present me with my award and very nice he was too.

With spottydog less than three years old I’m chuffed to bits to have bagged national recognition as an independent PR consultant and I celebrated by buying a new pair of shoes.  Which coincidentally John Lewis should also be happy about.
