Flexi-ing our social media muscles at Crufts 2014

​Now we know Ricky was a deserved winner, but with 500 new Facebook fans, sold-out stock, a host of media meetings and very achey feet we do feel that the spottydog team should have at least been a contender for ‘Best in Show’. Yes it’s the time of year again where we made the short trip down the road to the NEC for Crufts, and after four wolf-packed days at the world’s most famous dog show it’s safe to say we had a ‘tail’ of a time. Based on client flexi lead’s stand, we helped to drive footfall by offering our Facebook audience the chance to get their ‘paws’ on the smallest flexi lead in the world – and for those that weren’t already connected with us all they had to do was ‘like’ us on stand to get their freebie which saw our audience grown by 488 people too! We even doubled up as the ‘puparazzi’ snapping our four legged friends and their owners who bought a new lead and entering them into our on-stand competition to win a new VARIO System. Across the rest of the show, and while we’re on the subject of competitions, it was also a successful year for our client from the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Sam Clarke, whose dog Tizzy was crowned ‘top dog’ of the prestigious British open agility round and came second in the overall opening. Congratulations Sam & Tizzy!
