First day round up from the latest pup to join the spottydog pack

Wow what an amazing first day! Having been eager to join the world of PR, my first day exceeded all my expectations and more. Having spent four years studying in Leicester I have adopted it as my second home and now I have been lucky enough to have found the paw-fect position with spottydog!

As an advertising and public relations master’s graduate with a background in english literature, I was keen to put my creative and writing skills to good use. After finishing university, I found my first role in the world of B2B digital marketing creating and delivering content marketing strategies. After gaining experience working with a range of clients and honing my writing skills, I was ready to make the most of my digital marketing expertise I began searching for that exciting next step in PR!

My first day at spottydog has been full of excitement and getting up to speed on all things spottydog and the clients that I will be working with, including Heritage Bathrooms and Baddeley Brothers. Excitingly, I spent part of my day being familiarised with Heritage Bathrooms and its editorial calendar and as an individual that loves all things interior design I am looking forward to working on creating compelling digital content for such a wonderful brand.

Whilst joining a new team can be nerve-racking for the best of us, the moment I stepped into the office the warm welcome from the rest of the spottydog team soon settled any nerves that I had. Having learnt so much already, it feels great to have joined such a wonderfully talented team that are keen to share their knowledge and introduce me to everything I need to know to hit the ground running. From the start the impressive variety of clients and fast-paced nature of working for a PR agency drew me to spottydog. Looking forward I am excited be working with a range of brands and using my social media skills to develop stand out communications that showcase the very best of the fantastic brands I will be working with.
