Could Crufts be the most influential broadcasting event of the year?

by Lisa Jones |

Every trotting terrier, posing poodle and sporty spaniel at the world’s greatest dog show, Crufts, will be streamed live on YouTube from Thursday 8 March 2018, eclipsing the epic 14 hours of footage on Channel 4 and More4.

Is this a battle of the broadcasters, or will there be more than one top dog crowned best of breed this year?

Will it be Clare Balding or Alan Carr who proves they know their Xoloitzcuintle from their Schipperke?

Can Olly the Jack Russell, who captured our hearts last year with his crazy antics in agility, beat his record of 1 million views in just 24 hours?

Or will we help our clients, Wisdom Panel and ChuckIt, exhibiting at the show, find their moment in the spotlight?

As competitors and breeders hunt for perfection in the showring, the public will be rummaging through YouTube for unlikely flyball heroes who will become the new faces for pet brands across Instagram.

But it’s not just pet brands that can take advantage of the rise of the pet influencer, as a nation of pet lovers, always rooting for the underdog, there are many opportunities for household brand names to catch this trend.

Register for our live pet influencer masterclass on 25 April 2018, broadcast across our digital channels. We’ll be revealing what it’s really like to work with top pet influencers, how to connect with bloggers that will boost your brand and hear ‘tails’ of our most successful campaigns.
