Start-up Giosprite helps local authorities make the most of smart technology in their cities and towns. spottydog communications has been briefed to raise awareness of Giosprite, outreach to the target audience through social media and support SEO through rich website content.
Using a content-led strategy, we researched Giosprite ‘soapbox subjects’, key services and target regions, ran a stakeholder survey and attended industry events, so we could develop a calendar of content which demonstrates Giosprite’s expertise and provides a useful resource for local authorities. Writing two blogs and one piece of long-form content each month, we provide keyword-rich, relevant content for the website, supporting new business efforts and SEO. From these stories, we produce a monthly editorial calendar for social media, identifying multiple angles, relevant news and influencers for each story. These stories are then repurposed for media relations, gaining editorial features in target publications.
In the first eight-month period, the proactive social media campaign has delivered an average engagement rate of 1.7% and average of 11.9k impressions every month on Twitter, and an average engagement rate of 3.3% on LinkedIn. We have achieved features in specialist titles including Smart Cities World and Parking News, as well as regional titles Love Business East Midlands and Lichfield Live.
