As part of our work with Mitchells & Butlers, we were tasked with producing an internal communications video to promote the advantages of becoming a team trainer for FY18 openings.
Due to the nature of restaurant openings and the varied and intensive role of the training team, our task was to find a way to include all of the information needed whilst convincing current team members to make the step to trainer. In order to utilise the time we had efficiently, it was important to send a detailed storyboard to the client for approval beforehand, ensuring all messaging was cohesive and any details had been factored in pre-shoot to cut down on final edits.
With a limited time frame in which to film on the day, we utilised two cameras to capture all of the footage, as well as audio recording equipment to ensure the voiceovers were crisp and clear. As the restaurant’s we were filming in were open to the public at the time of recording, we stuck to a schedule to ensure there was minimum interruption to service.
Managing multiple shots with different teams across two sites, we managed to keep to deadline, and with only one set of amends required by Mitchells & Butlers, the final video was sent over one week after the shoot. The video has been shared internally with Mitchells & Butlers, receiving positive feedback from both the marketing teams involved and the trainers used in the film.
