The Business of Healthcare supplement

PR agency Birmingham

To deliver specialist editorial content in relation to the healthcare sector for The Birmingham Post’s quarterly ‘Business of Healthcare’ standalone 20 page supplement. Typically each supplement featured 10,000 words / ten pages of copy delivered within a one week time period.

For each supplement spottydog planned out the editorial content which would typically include a focus on latest developments within public sector health provision, coupled with an in-depth look at specialist healthcare business themes. Subjects covered within the supplement series are hugely varied ranging from NHS Future Forum, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Telehealth, Birmingham Medical Quarter, Military medicine, academic collaboration, patient choice agenda, healthcare innovation, international trade and on-going commentary as the Health & Social Care Bill undertook its legislative journey to reach Royal Assent.

Five editions of the supplement have been produced. For each supplement over ten pages of feature-length editorial copy has been produced typically within a one week period. Copy delivered on time and on budget is the most important measure of success for editorial commissions. However the overall project has achieved success for the Birmingham Post with five editions of the supplement securing continued investment and revenue income for the Birmingham Post making it a viable commercial activity.

“I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend spottydog communications as the quality of the work provided to us on the “Future Business of Healthcare” was of the highest quality. The team demonstrates a real understanding of their client’s businesses and deliver on time every time, despite us having to change deadlines at very short notice. spottydog represents the very best that the communications industry has to offer.”
