We were briefed by the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN) to help explain why healthcare will be a key driver for the West Midlands economy. Already well-established within health and academic networks, WMAHSN wanted to reach all stakeholders – particularly the general public to help them understand the importance of the healthcare industry.
spottydog implemented a regional press office activity to promote WMAHSN’s Health and Wealth Economic Summit and to launch its seven-point growth plan. The business press was a key focus so we worked with esteemed BQ magazine to produce a special editorial report into how healthcare organisations are contributing to the wealth of the West Midlands. As part of this project, spottydog helped WMAHSN find six regional partners to help fund the report’s publication.
We successfully secured regional press activity and succeeded in driving the publication of a BQ magazine 44-page supplement entitled “The Next Generation of Healthcare”. This extensive report contained five pages of editorial for WMAHSN, including a review of the Economic Summit, and reached BQ magazine’s circulation of 40,000 senior management and entrepreneurs in the Midlands – the key audience for the campaign.
The special report was also sent separately to every healthcare organisation in the West Midlands for them to use as a marketing tool to promote the successful work that they have achieved to their own stakeholders.
