spottydog was briefed to define and implement a social media strategy to attract graphic designers, printers and influencers to the Baddeley Brothers Twitter page with the objective of reaching new customers.
Starting with an audience audit, spottydog defined a social media strategy and confirmed that Twitter and Behance would be the ideal platforms to join conversations with graphic designers and printing influencers. Our approach made the most of the rich Baddeley Brothers content which included photographs, infographics and editorial from their Feelology blog and combined this with curated content from renowned design sources to create an editorial approach.
The second element was targeted influencer outreach where we spoke to writers, bloggers, printers, typography experts and creative thought-leaders to draw their attention to Baddeley Brothers’ work and this naturally led to two-way conversations and the sharing of our posts. We also helped with the Baddeley Brothers book launch event in October 2015 which was a fantastic platform to engage online audiences with book review opportunities and invite them to an offline book launch so that both audiences could network and discover more about our client.
A steady and genuine approach to community management has enabled us to double the Baddeley Brothers Twitter audience of targeted graphic designers within 14 months and create inspiring content for all their social channels; Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube and Behance. Total social followers have now grown by over 500 since the start of the project and the Twitter account features an average of over 60K monthly impressions whilst genuinely delivering an inspiring community.
