Beaming with ‘pride’ at being shortlisted for four CIPR awards

Pride is a word that’s been on my mind a lot recently. It’s been a feeling in the hearts of the Nation thanks to the England squad’s efforts. It’s been a moment in households across the UK as school reports and sports days dominate. It’s been a badge of honour that has taken centre stage at London’s iconic parade.

And it’s got me thinking about how pride is an integral part of any journey, whether to the top or not.

Here at spottydog we make no secret of our mission. We strive to deliver best of breed communications, by pedigree people – and the common thread that connects these two? We take pride in our work, it’s that simple.

Just like the three lions did on the world stage (coincidentally a group of lions is called a pride it’s like I thought about this connection😉) we attack any brief – be it an integrated campaign for a manufacturing company or an internal communications brief for a retailer – with tenacity, passion, and good old fashioned hard work.

It was this that saw our Birmingham team achieve over 100 pieces of coverage, including a feature on Good Morning Britain, for client Toby Carvery’s Armed Forces Day campaign. Which saw the brand offer all military personnel a free breakfast or carvery meal as a thank you for their services – a campaign which epitomises pride.

So what other marks of pride make the spottydog pack tick? Well, we’re delighted that earlier this month we won the Campaign Challenges Award at the PRCA DARE Awards for client Just for Pets. And just today we’ve also been shortlisted for four (yep you guessed it) Midlands PRide awards for: Integrated Campaign for client Heritage Bathrooms, STEM Campaign for Pentaxia, Best use of Social Media and Best Publication for our work with Mitchells & Butlers.
