Before joining the spottydog pack, Emily was editor of Britain’s best-selling cat magazine, Your Cat – a must-have publication for devoted cat lovers. During her time at the helm of the magazine, she developed a thorough understanding of the pet market, creating strong relationships with various pet businesses and charities. A keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills were essential to ensure the magazine was of the highest publishable standard before hitting the shelves every month.
Prior to becoming editor, she worked her way through the business from editorial assistant to features writer to features editor across Your Cat and Your Dog Magazines. As a life-long animal lover, with excellent knowledge of the canine and feline markets, Emily knows what it takes to get a pet brand in front of their target audience.
Emily has a first-class honours degree in English and Journalism from the University of Lincoln, which gave her an excellent foundation in analysis and writing, as well as practical journalism skills.
